Oddly enough, none. Kind of like seeing the sheer variety the Internet had to offer (plus those folks have so much confidence it’s almost admirable). And at least it’s not gore-- I’ve seen accidently seen way too many dead bodies mindlessly unblurring pictures on Reddit or foolishly clicking troll links.
Probably going to change to block nsfw when my little ones are old enough to steal my phone and browse my account, though.
The comments: No way, women don’t play games. I never see them.
Yeah no, they might not be on your games. But having seen the sheer lust for Link, I’m not surprised switch is popular.
And the crazy thing is, the industry really doesn’t do a good job at this. The numbers could really be higher, especially mobile, but the sheer number of male fantasy waifu games out there is ludicrous. (Although, unsurprisingly, the dollars earned from whales are overwhelming male, especially internationally where the wage gap is higher, so that’s what drives that).
Plus usually when someone pisses me off in traffic, my thought is “hope this guy dies” and not “hope that guy gets raped”— what kind of psycho makes rape threats ---- wait, nevermind.
I do like to see it-- and I’m not with all these negative lemmings, a handful of people jumping on Reddit isn’t a big deal since we’re talking millions of users (and by the way it’s healthier for Lemmy to not shun double dippers, not everyone’s communities have migrated).
Also, having moonlit at a social media company, I can say shortsighted folks do jerk off to engagement metrics, usually traffic and interactions. Doesn’t change a death spiral, and usually more experienced staff know to take it in context (I e. Is it lower than last time) so either you have dumb staff relaying bad information to the top or you have smart staff panicking, quiet quitting, etc.
In other words, folks need to relax. Reddit will do reddit things; just take comfort that you’re not alone in the fuck spez mentality.
Right! Although that’s mildly astounding given it was so unavoidable on like, every subreddit. But yeah, I remember seeing out of the loop messages months into the protests. Hell, even local news covered it here. Lol
Exactly, although the puzzle adventure games have taught me it’s more likely a series of wheels you need to rotate precisely. Or worse, a buddy you know through a walky talky needs to do it while the room slowly floods with you in it.
Reminds me of a Taco Bell building that turned into a really good independent taco place. Retained the distinct building shape, but the food was astronomically better and the service was friendlier.
It’s true though. Steam Deck Desktop introduced me to Arch and there has been no turning back (except when my software isn’t remotely compatable, anyway)
I mean, it’s just variations of similar endings… I’d prefer what Nier Automata did with their 26 endings. Getting an ending because I backtracked, or because I fished, or because I exploded at a very inappropriate time and place… Yeah that’s my kind of multiple endings.
Star Trek’s level of medical care is far more advanced than today’s. As Beckett says in LD, “Doc will wave a light over it.” Yet, in Star Trek people aren’t shown doing hobbies and pastimes that are much different from what’s done now. Still, I wonder about differences in a society where people know they won’t be...
Four wildfires broke out in southern California’s Riverside County over the weekend amid sweltering temperatures, with much of the state under excessive heat warnings Sunday.
While driving down to OC earlier today, my wife commented how dry things looked along the mountains, saying how it might be a bad wildfire season.
I said it’ll probably be even worse in a few months but I guess I was off by a little (although I bet it’ll be hell in October/November when things get real dry).
Not going to lie, I take great guilty pleasure telling friends in other states about how it’s 78 degrees here by the coast. Especially the ones who make fun of California being so hot. But yeah, I’ve got my air filters ready…
Hey I’m one of those people who got it in c/all and I still find it preferable to reddits r/all. Reposts on wholesomememes make me vomit. At least furry porn is genuine!

For all intensive purposes, the community will live on!
Also to be fair, I recall the old boneappletea being like 98% reposts. OC is hard-- too bad I don’t spend enough time with main stream social media to find these things in the wild.
Exactly, although part of me would love to see the ethyl methyl example presented 100% seriously. Like, everyone gets this joke, right? (Then we’d need another community devoted to explaining the joke and it’s a whole thing, lol)
The concerning thing about ranked competitive sex is when it’s still early in the season and you’re still a silver and your girlfriend is already platinum.
I used to check the front page at least once every day, and occassionally check specific subreddits. Yeah, briefly, but the quality has dropped and I usually just switch back to Lemmy since it feels different. Also, only until Infinity for Reddit stops working; no idea why it still works but it’s a matter of time.
