[Bug] Gifs don't upload on the instance

I tried to upload a gif but I get this error message when doing so:

{"data":{"msg":"Failed external validation","files":null},"state":"success"}

I can upload any other type of image but gifs always fail for some reason.
Does anyone have any clue what could be going wrong? There's obviously something wrong with pictrs but I'm not sure what.

I’m not sure any lemmy instance hosts gifs. Most upload and then convert to gifv but even that is shit since it doesnt inline the gif but instead puts it in a player. Best is just to hotlink the gif from a hosting site like imgur.

Ctrl+shift+esc brings up the task manager without having to go through ctrl alt del.

Shift+esc brings up Firefox’s internal task manager.

Win+L locks your pc without going through menus.
