Great series. Mysterious, with a beautiful setting... Made in Iceland
I liked the environment, which I partially imagined for my game that I am currently working on. The presence of an active volcano and ash adds a lot of visuals to the environment
I recently watched Heeramandi, it explores the intricate world of courtesans in the pre-independence era. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for his visually stunning and emotionally charged films.
The median 40 year old has retirement savings of $45K, not $5K. And the median 70 year old has savings of $200K. In both groups, doubling the amount is quite significant.
My second Vampires of Melbourne novel, Walking Shadows, has now been re-released as an ebook, joining the re-release of the first in the series, The Opposite of Life!
The third book, Beyond Redemption, is being serialised on my Patreon!
I am finally watching new seasons of X Files. I have to say Gillian Anderson is more pretty now than in the nineties. Second episode in, I like the story.
Pleasantly surprised by The Afterparty. The poster art made it look like a shameless Knives Out wannabe, but no; it's a well-executed “everyone sees the same events in different ways”, where each episode has a pretty distinct presentation/genre. (one is almost a music video)
Doesn't feel much like a whodunnit, but it's entertaining and nicely-constructed!
I'm looking for TV series, aired probably mid-1990's (in Poland it was aired around 1997 or 1998).
There was a guy trying to solve some mystery (or mysteries?), perhaps working alone. I recall a single episode where he noticed that while holding a certain mysterious object near him, objects behaved unexpectedly, e.g. Coriolis effect was reversed (working in opposite direction). I think he was trying to contact a person from his past, maybe a brother or father.
Each episode ended (and probably started) with a music theme involving tubular bells.
It is definitely not "Nowhere Man" with Bruce Greenwood, nor "The Pretender" with Michael T. Weiss.
I'm studying IMDb's TV series list from 1990's but it's a very long list... I'll be very happy if anybody gives me a hint or some title to try!
