I am often asked for templates for emails aimed at inviting new users and bands to our metalhead.club.
While I can understand that it's easier to use a template, customize it if necessary and send it, I don't think it's particularly useful at the moment.
Because: Recycled texts wear out. Bands don't want to receive the same email 10 times under different names and don't want to feel like they're talking to a machine. Personal recommendations and personal communication are important.
Second problem: spam filters will recognize our texts as mass mailings at some point and wonder whether they might be spam. We want to avoid that at all costs.
So do me a favor and try to come up with your own text if you want to recruit bands :-)

@Bigfood am 1. August spielen sie auf der Burg in Landshut. Bin noch etwas unentschlossen, aber vllt sehe ich mir sie an. Live stelle ich mir das einfach super vor :)
Habe kürzlich das "Sound & Fury" album von Dust Bolt gehört. Ich wusste ja vorab, dass es etwas anderes sein würde als vorherige Alben.
Finde es aber gut!
Kann verstehen, wieso man als langjähriger Fan vielleicht enttäuscht ist. Einfach, weil es nicht das ist, was man wahrscheinlich erwartet hat.
Dennoch ein gutes Album, finde ich. Mir als Gelegenheitshörer taugt es jedenfalls. Und respektabel, dass die Jungs tun, was ihnen gefällt. Egal, ob sie Vllt treue Fans dabei verlieren.
@thomas Die Scheibe ist derzeit meine No.1 dieses Jahr. Ich finde das Album so viel besser als die vorherigen Versuche, bei anderen Bands zig Mal (besser) Gehörtes auch nochmal zu sagen. Das Songwriting hat enorm profitiert von der neuen Openmindness und live sind die Jungs wirklich mega.
Ich stelle mir gerade vor, wie ein Gremium von wichtigen Leuten bei Google an einem großen Tisch entscheidet, dass es unbedingt Pupsgeräusche in der Telefonapp geben muss.
Aber keine blöde Entscheidung. Aufmerksamkeit haben sie bekommen.
