If you have an opportunity to attend this #FrontEnd study hall hosted by @artlung , do it!
The first session was amazing and super informative. As a result, ended up refactoring and simplifying the chaotic mess that was my stylesheets😊 Was unable to attend the second, unfortunately, but looking forward to the third this Thursday.
So happy to report that after receiving treatment, including x-rays, a CT scan and stitches to her nose, my mother in law was released from hospital and is recovering quietly at home this morning. As you can imagine, this fall gave us all a bit of a scare, so I’m leased to hear she hasn’t lost her sense of humour joking about slipping on a bar of soap. Which, by the way, she didn’t.
The Vanishing Triangle ⭐️⭐️
TV show 2024
Watched May 13, 2024
Well, that was one hell of a surprise, and not a good one. We started watching this one mainly because it’s on Acorn TV and advertised next to one of our fav shows, Brokenwood Mysteries, and on the same night. And, for the most part, it was interesting enough. A damaged reporter gets a clue, 15 years after the murder of her mother, that might lead her to the ... https://alexink.micro.blog/2024/05/15/the-vanishing-triangle.html
No offense to those who enjoy the green, but is there some kind of "kalespiracy" happening these days? One of my goto stores apparently loves to sneak #kale into more and more of its product offerings. I've tried it umpteen times, prepared different ways, but the taste buds are threatening to go on strike if it crosses their paths again. Would be interesting if Dr. Seuss was still around, tried kale, disliked it, and was inspired to create a sequel to "Green Eggs and Ham" from the experience. 😄
@alexandra Everything old is new again -- history repeats itself. A couple centuries ago it was, "Let them eat cake!" Fast-forward to today and it's, "Let them eat kale!" 😄
Enjoying a Life of Crime!
Ah, I love Monday evening TV which, tonight, consists of:
Brokenwood Mysteries — a police series set in New Zealand
The Vanishing Triangle — a true story of a serial killer set in Ireland
Harry Wild — a PI series also set in Ireland
I love Acorn TV for the choice of shows offered from all over the world. Which includes lots of murder-mysteries, police dramas, and all things crime. https://acorn.tv/brokenwoodmysteries
@alexandra That's a really good point. Never thought to reframe it as an actual movie. In that respect less is actually more and allows a bit more time to binge on our other five streaming channels 😄
@maique Would be interesting if it made a comeback in this neck of the woods, since, according to the Wikipedia page, it was popular here during the 1950's and 1960's.
