Saw a car seemingly abandoned on the side of the road the other night.
I looked up options to report it and the police non-urgent crimes line seemed like the best bet. Iโd rather not call the police but I figured there was no one for them to harass as it was an abandoned car.
They actually escalated me to 000 and the car was gone today.
The only downside is I reported the car as a hazard on Waze and it looks like I didnโt get any points for it :(
This is always tough. Everyone drags their feet because it wonโt work, then it doesnโt like everyone expected, and then the manager has a new reason to blame everyone else for their poor decision
The last leg from Shepperton to Tocumwal is usually freight only. Iโd love to hop on at Donnybrook and take the train to Tocumwal.
Same with Mildura. That line is freight only as well. How many tourism dollars would a vline to Mildura rake in? I donโt know why itโs still closed to the public.
Iโm going to check it out anyway. The boys would love it and Mildura is one of the few places it would be worth getting the train to rather than just driving
Iโve checked these out and they are quite expensive. They also seem more geared towards the older crowd than young families, but I might be able to make one work at some point down the line
IT guys are very busy. They should give me access to the website to update this form myself so I can just get it out of the way. I know what Iโm doing, Iโve managed Wordpress websites before
As frustrating as it is, I understand why bigger places do this. That being said, I want to fix up something IT configured incorrectly in the first place
I just want to fix this one thing. If they give me access to the website I might be responsible for maintaining it. Iโm not that busy but I donโt want more work
How do you abbreviate โbreakfastโ? Iโve seen cafes offer a โbig breakyโ which I read as break-y. Others do โBrekkieโ which I seem fine with. And one place I saw does โBreakkiโ which annoys me to no end for some reason.
I know Marketing arenโt responsible for the website because thatโs the team Iโm in. This issue isnโt worth getting everything setup for, but I might try get access overall soon.
I think itโs that I feel hamstrung by not being able to make the change myself. Iโm just bumping against the contradictions of businesses needing everything done now, but also needing everyoneโs input and approval.
Iโll see if they let me in, even if itโs just to put on my own resume.

More the issue is we had a form that was kind of working. It has a hidden field that was filled incorrectly. The adjustments worked fine in testing but now it has been pushed to Prod it doesnโt seem to work.
Iโve inspected element on the form and the hidden field is still filled, looking unchanged.
The urgency now is we have a form of lead capture on the website that may not be working, and all I can do about it is reply to a Jira ticket.
I just want to jump in and fix the form but I know things arenโt that simple.

I was in this sort of situation and moved to an all remote job. As much as I liked the old place the lifestyle improvements and flexibility was worth it
