Gives you some indication of the general direction of Massachusetts settlement: 15 Massachusetts towns are directional additions to other MA towns (eg Adams; North Adams). 7 are WEST, 5 are NORTH, 3 are EAST (and 2 of these, E. Bridgewater and E. brookfield also have a west and/or north counterpart), and 0 are SOUTH #boston#massachusetts#maps#newengland#usa
This isn't Texas. It's illegal to walk around in public in Massachusetts with a gun you don't have a license for. As for the skulking, no, skulking by itself is not illegal, unless you're doing it on somebody's private property, in which case it's known as "trespassing," which is illegal.
NY Times and Washington Post win 3 Pulitzers each. While we did not win any Pulitzers, the winner of the fiction prize did teach at these Boston-area universities
@bhalpin Yeah. Meanwhile, though, the white pizza guy who's charged with beating and terrorizing his largely undocumented workforce does remain locked up as a potential threat to those people - granted, that's federal, not state court.

On Thursday, the #MBTA released for public comment their SFY25-29 Capital Investment Plan, or CIP. (It's important to specify state fiscal years, because the Boston Region MPO, which is responsible for allocating federal transportation funds, uses the federal fiscal year, and the last three months of FFY24 are in SFY25 just to confuse everyone who's trying to cross-index programs and budgets.) The full plan is here: https://www.mbta.com/financials/the-proposed-capital-investment-plan-cip
