user_AW11,

Gee, or how criminals can get away in “politics”

Report: Amazon made $1B with secret algorithm for spiking prices Internet-wide (arstechnica.com)

Last week, the Federal Trade Commission sued Amazon, alleging that the online retailer was illegally maintaining a monopoly. Much of the FTC’s complaint against Amazon was redacted, but The Wall Street Journal yesterday revealed key details obscured in the complaint regarding a secret algorithm. The FTC alleged that Amazon...

user_AW11,

I “love” US companies that increase their profit with illegal and secret algorithms (no effort). Hope for big fines (50%, here we come!)and long lasting bans.

user_AW11,

A $1.5 Billion fine would work as deterand.

But I am afraid US politics won’t allow it.(lobbying)

user_AW11,

I am sorry, however you provide some interesting information, this case has noting to do with recalls.

user_AW11,

But according to a F1 journalist (Campio), he is “more complete” then Verstappen.

user_AW11, (edited )

I think that any F1 driver with a “timepenalty” must serve this within 2 laps after they got that penalty. To “punish” them immediately for what they have caused (like MV in UK, LH could continue). And to avoid “calculations” of what they need to secure the best position at race ends.

user_AW11, (edited )

If you ruin the race for other F1 driver,(not minor) 2 laps max after incident and at least 25 seconds in the pits.

user_AW11,

Ah Mercedes became the envious little kids F1 team.

user_AW11, (edited )

Gee, a real “human being”, what an “inspiring” example.

user_AW11,

Not Just Bikes has a recent video that kinda covers this topic too.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztpcWUqVpIg

user_AW11,

I am Dutch, been to that circuit several times, doesn’t work like that.

user_AW11,

Zandvoort is an “old skool” track according to many drivers.

user_AW11,

US “politics” => where you can find criminals

user_AW11,

Adrian Newey, RBR F1 car designer is the best F1 car designer in the field, He already won multiple F1 WCC titles with different F1 cars. His PhD covered groundeffect cars, current F1 cars use groundeffect as aerodynamic “tool” .

user_AW11, (edited )

I am a Qualified Automotive engineer, following F1 since 1986. Got a friend that is race steward in F1, and a former colleague showed up as “control engineer” in Alonso’s F1 team (Alonso WDC). I visited 3 F1 circuits. I know more about F1 then any highschool American.

Also, read this.

And read this:

user_AW11,

1, you accuse me of presenting misinformation about my own country.

2.And then I misplaced my “medicine”

Typical American: (even dedicated YT channels about this), arrogant and dumb.

user_AW11,

I am such a mental case that I worked for a company that designs and sells machines to make computer chips. I speak 3 languages, and when I got my superior driverlicense I could effortless use manual transmission. But I am still a mental case according to a “smart” American

Medical advice from an An4erican with their shit and expensive “healthcare”

user_AW11,

Typical US arrogance ignoring shit in your own country and blaming others.

user_AW11,

Dutch here:

US should “fix” itself.

  • It is all about your “zoning laws” (change them first)
  • Weakest traffic participants in traffic (pedestrians and bicycle riders) are protected by law

We had 2 "situations in the 70ties that helped"

  • OPEC oil crisis => (car-free Sunday)
  • “Stop de kindermoord action” => Stop killing of children (at least a few 100/year were killed)

We didn’t change overnight, but the first things were done mid 80ties.
