You could just keep vanadium and change the DNS of your phone for mullvad DNS for exemple to block the ads in (nearly ) every app.

What are some commonly known facts that are too bizarre for you to believe to be true?

For me it is the fact that our blood contains iron. I earlier used to believe the word stood for some ‘organic element’ since I couldn’t accept we had metal flowing through our supposed carbon-based bodies, till I realized that is where the taste and smell of blood comes from.

I had the same thought so I looked directly at it everyday during an hour at sunset for a year, it was intense and an interesting feeling, it is called sungazing.

And when you sync it and you only get your bookmarks and history but you have to disable again the data collection and google as a search engine and you have to set up again it’s looks…

And also the app is more beautiful than the original Spotify app.

Right or left it’s all the same to me.

Right and left are like head or tail of the same con (not coin). All of you have been conned and it is sad to see how much you believe in it. None of them are here for anything but their own financial interests and they don’t fine a damn if you live or die.

need for open-source icloud alternative

How might private storage compete with corporate super hardrives for websites? There is the darkweb Wikipedia and internet archive and a decent amount of data on the0 fediverse. There may be a point where megacorps have eyes in the terminal of computers what is the logistics of open source computers with all the components and...

Thanx, I didn’t know this one, I am currently using pcloud to sync automatically my photos but filen does it too and better and without trackers.

Yes, I love their interface, I tested it and I already removed pcloud for them because I was only using it to sync my photos.

People who keep journals or diaries, do you hand write or type?

I am looking to start getting into this. But I have never enjoyed writing. I also feel a little iffy knowing that my diaries are sitting around somewhere in my room and my family can find it at any moment. If I were to type it would be faster, more secure as I can encrypt it, and it would not get lost as easily as I can upload...

I just use simplenote on Android and PC which is synced in the cloud so I can continue what I started on another device.

Next will be a FAKE alien invasion while the gouvernements will take all that’s left to the last drop. Remember that.

Great thing, flatpak is litterally the heaviest folder on my system, and UI are great for those who are not used to the terminal commands.

I only store “rare old hard to get stuff that I loved a lot” but I just delete everything else after watching so I never have more than a 1TB drive half empty from which I also delete what I downloaded but will never watch after some time. All of that on my Raspberry pi home server with Emby and CasaOs.

I use songtubeIt is open source, you can download the videos or just the music, listen with the screen off, it is also a music player and it is more eye candy than newpipe.

I discovered it and installed it yesterday, I really like it, no bloat, no useless preinstalled apps, a pure and clean distro.
