In a way it's almost embarrassing to have my early stuff so exposed because everybody sucked a bit back then, we were all learning as we went along and some of those early things are really quite lumpy. It takes a long time to learn a bit of genuine craft.

But I hope it shows a genuine desire to learn to suck less as time went on. Sometimes I was too experimental, sometimes I was a bit up myself.

Always wanted to refine it though, do better next time out. Still do. 🐂

Discovered a Finnish documentary "Guitar and sickle" (Sirppi ja kitara, 1988) about a Soviet rock festival during Perestroika, and to my shock & surprise it shows a bit of recording of one of my all time favorite albums. Did not know that synths for it were programmed in an ordinary Soviet university dorm room.

Sooo I might have accidentally ordered a Zelda edition OLED Switch. Bit of an indulgence for sure but given I barely ever go down the pub any more and the last time I set foot outside the UK was in 2019 going to Hyrule is the closest I'm going to get to having a proper holiday for the foreseeable future so it might as well look as nice as possible while I'm there.
