@minty_oh That's a thought! I've been considering all of that, let alone how long it would take for him to become fluent. As well as bribe three Japanese teenagers that he could help them win Duelist Kingdom.

I must have a lot to say about the manga, if my rewrite of it has reached half a million words before reaching Duelist Kingdom.

Some people would consider this overkill, but I think it is a fun dive into character studies. It's been a blast to write and I'm not tired of it yet!

One got an honorable mention. I don’t mind. I feel good about my writing regardless of what other people say. I take it there were other great stories, not that mine were bad. (Also, I tend to have niche interests I write about.)

Aptshipping is so rare, when you search for it you usually just get the huge comprehensive lists of pairing names for all of YGO.

I think it's even rarer than Rescueshipping, which I hadn't even heard about until last year.

@avividtale Yeah, AO3. I think I found one story on FFN when I tried. And just searching around there was once a single piece of artwork with the two together.

It's not the first time for me though! In another fandom, I'm the only person writing several pairings.

It really is a bummer when an idea you like isn't explored by anyone else. In several cases, I was shocked to find out that certain pairs were rare or nonexistent.
