you know if forming a U.S. non-profit upsets you you have other alternatives. activitypub isn’t just mastodon. the is more than mastodon. there are plenty of good options. I recommend you get a small instance someplace capable of supporting your crew and onboard them yourself to whatever alternative platform you like. this is the beauty of a federated environment.

@deadsuperhero I never said you shouldn’t be. it’s upsetting I’m just saying you have options. the fediverse isn’t just mastodon. you can actually do as you like. I’m using activity pub through misskey right now it’s very comfy.

This policy of blocking entire instances simply because you don't like who runs them is silly and detrimental to the Fediverse not to mention our democracy.

I'm not sure which is worse the fact that @potus is on threads.net instead of a proper .gov mastodon instance or the fact that doesn't allow you to see the posts without logging into threads on their "instance".
