I’d like to play an RTS game where you don’t control the units directly, but instead just give them general orders that they try to carry out to the best of their ability. The player would focus on coordinating combat at high level directing where the units should go and what positions they hold. The units would have to have plausible behaviors, so they wouldn’t just run into gunfire, but take cover, try to coordinate with each other, etc. The units would also have to have modifiers such as morale, so if a unit suffered heavy losses it might break and flee for example. I think you could get some really interesting emergent game play come out of it.
like I went to taco bell and they didn’t even have napkins out. they had the other stuff just no napkins, I assume because some fucking ghoul noticed people liked taking them for their cars so now we just don’t get napkins! so they can save $100 per quarter rather than provide the barest minimum quality of life features.
This individualist approach simply does not work in practice as has been demonstrated time and again. The problem is a systemic one created by the mechanics and incentives of the capitalist economy. The solution is to work towards an economic system that doesn’t create perverse incentives inherent in capitalism.
There’s nothing genocide Joe loves more than bombing brown people. Reminder that this is the same piece of human garbage that voted for the invasion of Iraq in which US regime massacred over a million people.
I’m of the opinion that US wanted political capture of as much of former USSR as it could get ever since USSR dissolved, and has succeeded in creating vassal states out of most former Soviet republics. Ukraine tried to maintain its neutrality between the west and Russia and largely succeeded until US ran a violent coup in 2014, at which point the legitimate elected government was overthrown.
I love how you keep trying to derail the discussion to make it about me instead of staying on topic of what’s being discussed. It’s more sophisticated trolling, I’ll give you that. Here are a few books for you

While the system does select for psychopathic behaviors, it’s not a meritocracy because you don’t need to be exceptional at being ruthless, greedy, selfish, egotistical, ignorant, arrogant, immoral, unethical and wicked to become enormously wealthy. There are plenty of deplorable people who never make it big under capitalism. It’s mostly just a birth lottery. People who are lucky enough to be born into money, who end up having family connections, and are plugged into the oligarchy are the ones who statistically make it.
And there are actual studies showing that luck is the major factor
What I’m saying is that neither US nor EU are capable of ramping up production. Despite all the talk over the past year and a half, no serious ramp up in production has been seen. Meanwhile, Europe is now going into a recession and spending increasingly more money on the military is going to require more austerity which will in turn keep driving civil unrest.
Also, not sure what universe you live in where Russia is being ground down from a major power buddy. Russian economy is currently booming even according to western sources, Russian industrial production is at six year high, and Russian global trade is as big as it’s ever been. If you think Russia came out of this worse than the west then you really need to stop guzzling propaganda.

Why is everything in consumer / American life so fucking shitty now - and companies literally just say 'oh bc profit margins' and we're now expected to swallow that and sympathize?
