The Spotify Car Thing cost $100, but I can't use it anymore. (lemmy.ml)

EDIT: The only reason why I still had it at this point was because I could use it with other apps. However, now that my Spotify Subscription is cancelled, it doesn’t work with anything. It’s mildly infuriating because today, I can’t still use it with other apps like I was able to yesterday....

I would actually argue that Google Play Music was the best music streaming app that I’ve used. It was great being able to upload music from CDs of small local bands and have it right in there with the other streaming music.

Just today I had a hankering to listen to a specific song through my android auto, and instead of just being able to verbally ask the unit for that song, or even being able to search through the atrocity that is the YouTube Music interface on my head unit, I had to pull over, pull out my phone, search for the band, then click the uploads tab (because uploaded music does not show with the regular search results) and then click the song to get it to play.

If you like the punchlines from the comics, but are disappointed in the show, remember that the movie Coneheads exists.

TIL the military cannot enlist a recruit with an IQ measured lower than 80 and is required to keep enlisted individuals with an IQ of 81-92 to less than 20% of the armed forces in active duty. (www.law.cornell.edu)

I think a skills-based aptitude test that is honed towards specific occupations and a vague intelligence test that the creators even believe barely gives a tenuous grasp on mental ability is not a good comparison.

I’ve been interested in the zoids kits, but haven’t taken the plunge. How do you feel the build quality compares to a Bandai kit?

I’ve had good luck by viewing the page in desktop mode if I need to see something on reddit and tries to force me to use the app.

It’s not a 100% solution, but many head units will have hdmi input, but you might have to accidentally install the head unit in a way that bypasses the parking brake interlock for it to work while driving. Most phones can utilize a USB-C to hdmi adapter for screen mirroring, although touch data won’t be sent to the phone.

That’s a really cool display idea. I like it.

The Wikipedia entry for BreadTube has an origin section. Long story short, it’s named for the book The Conquest of Bread.

On the white head V piece, I highly recommend you clip the two smaller gates that hold the skinnier pieces first. I clipped the large center gate first and one side of the V snapped off right at the smaller gate.

Oh, I don’t really watch the shows. I did just recently finally watch OG Gundam which was good, then tried to watch a bit of Wing and had to quit because I kept cutting myself on all of its edginess.

I really just like the big robots more than the show itself.

But sometimes the models make me wonder about the background behind certain decisions that were made. Like, who thought it was a good idea to make a giant katana for Red Frame Astray? How did that forging process even look like? Why does Destiny Impulse have not just pocket knives, but actual pockets to keep them in? How much lead time does Char need to get a custom paint job for a Mobile Suit?

Oh, I’m not knocking the katana. I guess I should’ve worded it better, who came up with the idea to make a gundam sized katana? What was the thought process? Just curious on how the universe justifies what was most likely the series mechanical designer’s aesthetic decision.

Just wanted to share my last build: MG Sinanju Ver Ka! (imgur.com)

… which was actually completed a while ago, but I’d like to share my builds to live here instead of Reddit. This was my first time attempting a candy coat and reverse wash and while it wasn’t completely successful, I’m overall happy with the result. Definitely learned a lot.
