Well, it IS Chromium now, so not that shocking. I still use Firefox as my main, but for sites that don't work in Firefox, I used Edge as a backup, especially for Microsoft sites.
Youtube'll probably last for a while, but it feels like it's getting shittier each year. Search is terrible now, and then there are those in-video cards you can't get rid of, even though there's a checkbox in the settings (at least on Browsers) to get rid of them, they don't actually go away unless you use an adblocker.
Plus, the algorithm is stupid, and when you search there's no common sense filters like don't show things I downvoted, or don't show things I've already watched today. At the very least, Youtube needs some serious competition for it to shape up and stop doing dumb things that annoy everyone.
I hate that Tiktok's run by the Chinese government to spy on people of interest (like journalists), but it's giving Youtube some much needed competition otherwise.
Ouch, harsh, but true. It's kind of insane how much is out of our control nowadays, and how companies don't seem inclined to do much of anything about it. I hear that AMD at least, is going to switch to an open source alternative to PSP in the future though.
I wonder if Mediatek is any better. They're the biggest competition that Qualcomm has right now (except for maybe Samsung's Exynos), but honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if everyone's doing this.

Yep, I saw Mozilla do this, signed up for the waiting list. Probably isn't a single solution to the idiocy going on at Twitter, but it's worth exploring multiple alternatives until the best of them (probably will be more than 1) come out on top.
Even Tumblr has its good sides, honestly. It's bounced back from being basically a porn-sharing social media to being an actual social media competitor.
I tried Firefox one day when they said they had a good update, and reviewers were also agreeing that it was good. Meanwhile Chrome was doing stupid crap that I didn't like. I switched and haven't looked back since. It's actually kind of dangerous to have a browser monoculture like this. Creates one big giant attack vector and also makes it so that any big problem in Chromium might simultaneously affect almost all the browsers out there at once.

Yep, I totally agree, which is why I avoid Discord as much as possible. Forums worked because they weren't chat rooms, and making a hybrid basically brings all of the problems of a chatroom into a forum system which adds almost no benefit, but a huge amount of problems.
Not every group uses Discord exclusively, and some still have forums, thankfully. Also, there's also Reddit, which is basically the closest thing I've found to a "universal" forum protocol, although it too has its share of issues.
