And somehow the changelog in the community patch, when printed out, will be long enough to reach the moon

@Cahuin can't help you for translation, but if you click on the gear icon (on the bottom on mobile, on the right on desktop) you can activate the top bar, and from there you can switch from all to subscribed

@klin you can activate the top bar, and it has "all", "subscribed", "moderated" and "favourites" as first options.

To activate go at th bottom (on mobile) and press the gear icon. On desktop it should be on the right.

@HeartyBeast

Ah yeah the list of subbed magazines/communities is available inside your profile

Why are you not seeing as many posts from Lemmy communities on Kbin?

Hello! You may have noticed that the majority of posts and threads in your feed on Kbin are from within the platform itself. This is because the admin has activated Cloudflare DDoS protection which basically slows down requests to kbin, to prevent the website from experiencing downtime or becoming slow to respond....

@lixus98 The cloudflare "issue" would also include messages posted here on kbin but to communities from Lemmy, not showing up on Lemmy, I assume?

@Supernova You can set the default view as subscribed in your settings, or activate the top bar from the gear icon menu and that will make it easy to switch from all to subscribed

@Kaldo

Not sure about that, I'm super new too around here.
There is a featured magazines field in the use profile, but I doubt that's what it does.

Thought as much.
Thanks for the heads up.

Many of us probably don't even have much experience as users in the fediverse, but with the Reddit fiasco I guess this side of the internet will get an influx of new users and we'll all learn together.

Let's hope this community grows 👍

Kbin Roadmap 2023

A certain stage of development has ended - a prototype was created that allowed me to verify whether such a form makes sense in the #fediverse. Until now, it was a project that I developed in my free time. Now, thanks to the great people from Nlnet, I will be able to devote much more time to it. This time, we have already...

Hello @ernest and thank you for all your efforts in developing this new space for us all

I'm new to the concept of fediverse, but I think I got the gist of it.

I have a few questions about all of this works, but I can find answers by myself, no problem.

I do have a question regarding magazines/communities though that probably many of us newbies have, but I didn't find anything about it.

Since the fediverse is so decentralized it's obvious that every space could have its own version of a magazine/community (for example having a "gaming" magazine here and a gaming community in one of the Lemmy instances).

Do you think it would make sense to allow us users to aggregate them somehow if we want to follow them both?

I know that the "subscribed" feed already aggregates everything, but I think it would be handy if I only wanted to browse the gaming magazines/communities, to be able to view them all at the same time.

I understand you have other priorities right now, but do you think it would be something you'd be interested in implementing?

Thank you again
