Feneric,

I think a lot of the Sixth Doctor's TV stories got (and still get) more hate than they deserved. "The Twin Dilemma" was awful, and that sat festering in poeple's minds for the whole off season, and they had set opinions before they even watched the next two seasons. I liked the first and third chunks of "Trial" a lot, and the second wasn't bad. The fourth was kind of a mess, but that's probably to be expected considering its history, having been started by one author and worked on and finished by others in emergency mode.

Feneric,

Today is the final full day of voting. It'll be closing in the very early AM tomorrow.

There's just a week left to vote on the 7 entries in this year's IntroComp. You don't need to play all 7 to vote, so please feel free to just play a few and vote on a few (although please try and mix it up a little so the stories alphabetically at the front of the list don't get way more votes than the ones at the end of the list).

These stories are little excerpts of works in progress by indie creators. Your votes and feedback will directly help encourage them to complete their projects. Is there a game you really want to see completed? Vote for it and let the author know! Is there a game you really like but which just needs a little tweaking or polishing? Vote for it and give some constructive feedback!

Your inputs can directly help shape these future releases.

Feneric,

Meanwhile, in Zilkon's lair, Zilkon himself sat astride his bejeweled but armless great chair, resplendent in his indigo robes. His majordomo stood by nervously with an electronic clipboard, nervously trying to get his attention.

"Ahem. Sir, if I could..."

"What is it this time, Atash?"

"I see that you've got an appointment today with that trader Danner. I thought you should know, I've been chatting with Wren. You remember her, right? She works for you-know-who."

"Who's 'you-know-who?'"

Even more nervously than before, Atash gulps before whispering "Rodney".

"RODNEY!" Zilkon screams. "You know I hate him! I hate even the sound of his name! Why do you dare bring him up?"

"Be-because of something Wren told me about Dinner that I think you'd want to know about."

Google Suggests Robots.txt File Updates for 'Emerging AI' Use Cases (m.slashdot.org)

For a "vibrant content ecosystem," Google's VP of Trust says web publishers need "choice and control over their content, and opportunities to derive value from participating in the web ecosystem." (Does this mean Google wants to buy the right to scrape your content?)

Feneric,

I don't think it means that Google wants to buy the rights to scrape your content, I think it wants a new explicit rule that most sites won't add so they can justify scraping them.

Feneric,

It seems to be more than individual tweets. The whole site seems down for me if I'm not logged in.
