Could be honestly, I never bothered finding new private seed groups for music after the couple I was in shut down a couple years back. I assumed there were more out there, and there probably still are some but just them pushing private at all reduces the amount of content available from niche artists. The mass culture of music piracy seems to largely be behind us unfortunately.
Lately I mostly try to find music videos to load up on plex for family but even there quality and availability are terrible.
I mean like even if someone is for example criminal or scumbag they are still human and hoping for someone to die or make jokes of someone's loss of life isn't right. Or does someone think it is justified? I think it's morally wrong.
I just really don't care about the lives of some billionaires honestly. That company and its CEO were basically just a pile of red flags. Even a cursory amount of research should have turned that up. If they didn't use their billions to cover their asses why should I have sympathy for them? They'd let us all die and wouldn't bat an eye so I'm going to crack some jokes at their expense. Basically I don't think billionaires are covered by our social moral codes because they're at best a bunch of sociopaths.
I think my favorite thing about Lemmy is that it feels like Reddit used to. Less negativity, more engaged users (I think). I know it will be fun to watch Reddit die, but if I put spite aside what I’m really mad at Reddit about is more about what Reddit became and maybe part of that is when the general internet user started...
I think Reddit will slowly bleed users as the experience gets worse but it won't collapse altogether. It's not likely that any one service will replace it but I could see a series of successors come about eventually.
Is music piracy dying?
Most of the discussion and sources of content talk about movies and series....
What do you think of people making memes/jokes about the recent Titan tragedy?

They really are (lemmy.world)
Does anyone else hope the bulk of Reddit stays there?
