Cloud Backup

I finally got the dreaded over storage warning from google today. What is everyone moving to these days? People were moving to dropbox advance but i heard its not really unlimited anymore. I have 30TB of data that can’t be reproduced (family videos and photos). Any recommendations? I prefer not to spend $100+ a month on...

JollyRoberts,

@Catsrules

Agreed with this one really. "3 copies of your data, in 2 physical locations, equals 1 backup" has been my thing for a long time.

I used to just keep my third copy one a drive in my desk at the office, but I've been full remote for years now.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to see if I can convince my folks to host a NAS in their hobby room or something.

@Deniable1477

JollyRoberts,

@brechmos came to mention this. There is also an argument to list the files in the archive if you don't remember the name/path of the one you want.

I don't remember the arg but it's either -t or -l I think

@jmshrv

Why does no one make a Black and White-style game?

As long as we are talking about old games that are still the gold standard, how is it possible no one has recreated the giant-god-monster and city management game Black and White yet?! That game was fantastic, and its premise so solid. It seems ripe for replication in more contemporary engines.

JollyRoberts,

@parrot@kbin.social good question. I think there is a demo on the steam page. I don't have it installed but maybe I should to check it out.

@AlexRogansBeta

@YolkBrushWork402

Joe Versus the Volcano. Brilliant from start to finish.

JollyRoberts,

@Evolone

On Android, but Raid Shadow Legends is fun. If you ignore the buy-this pop ups its easy to play for free. Also Magic: Arena is fun.

JollyRoberts,

@Maxcoffee

I haven't read the docs, I was just saying if you spun up a host you can turn on the API in yours and play with that one, rather than the main one here

JollyRoberts,

@Maxcoffee

You can spin up your own copy of kbin and play with that. That's what another person who asked about this the other day was going to do.

Stable Diffusion + Improved Prompt Matrix = Crazy Loads of AI Art (ericri.medium.com)

In this post, I discuss how to create a large, varied number of images using a script with Automatic1111, and how to modify the script for even more large-batch variety. You’ll have the power to step away from your local Stable Diffusion UI while it creates hundreds of images for you to review later (or throw on Instagram,...

JollyRoberts,

@Carcosa

Yeah. This is one I read early on. I still use his seedy script variant

JollyRoberts,

@Caph

It seems to do that when I go to your link.

JollyRoberts,

@Caph

I see what you mean.

Try this: go to that link. In the top right of the interface, click the triangle looking fediverse icon. Thhen click federation status to 'off'.

After that it should show just threads on the startrek.website site.

JollyRoberts,

@lostwonder

I used "Now for Reddit" for 95% of my time on Reddit. Once I discovered it that was it for me. Only dealt with the web if I had no other choice.

Never did web on mobile.

JollyRoberts,

@cwista

Here: https://github.com/Stability-AI/StableStudio

It says you can connect it to any backend if you make a plugin. If someone has an auto1111 plugin made then that might be what you want.

Ymmv, I've not tried it yet.

JollyRoberts,

@cwista

Didn't OpenAI put out their interface to dreamstudio as an open source project a while ago?

That may be easier to use GUI wise, though I have not tried it.

Iirc it was just a front end to their company hosted API, but the intent was to allow it to hook into other backbends like auto1111 at some point.

I'll go see if I can find the link

MMORPG OF THE WEEK | GUILD WARS 2 (lemmy.world)

Hello everyone! Hope you have a good day. The firsf post about WoW was deleted, still don't know why, but let's continue right now with the second game. This week, it's Guild Wars 2! When it come out, people were saying, like a lot of time, "THAT'S THE WOW KILLER OMG". Even if it didn't, this game is still one of the most...

JollyRoberts,

@VioletteRei

I played for a bit when it first came out. Fun but i never really got into it. Iirc it was the movement ghat never quite clicked for me. Loved the art style though.

Is it possible to know the token impact in a prompt?

I understand that, when we generate images, the prompt itself is first split into tokens, after which those tokens are used by the model to nudge the image generation in a certain direction. I have the impression that the model gets a higher impact of one token compared to another (although I don't know if I can call it a...

JollyRoberts,

@polystruct

Im pretty sure there is an extension that does something like that....

This is what i was thinking of: https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui/wiki/Extensions#daam

Not sure if its still supported though, the git repo has been set read-only.

JollyRoberts,

@Dymonika

Id love to have one just follow my daughter (5 yr old) around and record her conversations/talking to herself. She is so adorable and funny. I love the way her mind works and would enjoy listening to her stream of conciousness.

JollyRoberts,

@turtlenator

Kbin has a 'block domain' option. Like from a kbin server you go to https://kbin.social/d/lemmy.ml and it will have a subscribe/block the domain button in the side bar.

Ive used it to block lemmynsfw.com. I dont know if its actually doing anything though, lol.

I dont think lemmy has that option yet.

JollyRoberts,

@VoidCrow

/c/raidshadowlegends is the only interest i have that has not shown ip here yet
