I don't believe so. The only extensions I have are bitwarden, multi-containers, uBlock, and Dark reader. It actually has stopped now after I logged out of Kbin and then back in. I suppose I'll associate it with some sort of user error, because I don't see the problem being posted aside from me. Thanks for the suggestions
Actually, it just did it again as I was scrolling through All...anytime this post about the debris field near the titanic loads, it downloads the file. I'll search through my firefox settings and see what I can see.
I haven’t tried going directly to the site, you’re right it may have something to do with the CBS link trying to load the preview on Kbin. Seeing as it doesn’t actually display anything that’s a good hunch. Unfortunately I’m going to be away from the computer until tomorrow, and I’m not having an issue with it on mobile. I’ll save that post and try then.
I know you said you’re not a developer, but do you know how to get notifications for these replies? I have them checked in settings, but they don’t seem to be functioning. I just keep coming back to this post to see if there are any other comments.
@melroy I started a thread about it on Kbin meta and it seems there’s already something called a codeberg submitted. Lots of smart people on these instances
Apps are always nice, but lots of mobile websites, including the kbin one, are entirely functional as an app. In your browser you can just make a shortcut to them, and they'll appear on your home screen and act as an app....
I've been using it this way for a bit. It works pretty well, and I like that I don't have to open it in Safari all of the time. Took me a while to figure out where all of the links were, but I'm still new kbin and the whole fediverse thing so it's all a learning curve.
I keep getting this .m3u8 download whenever I open the homepage? What is it?
OC While you're waiting on a kbin app, you should know the mobile site is entirely functional as a mobile app. Just make a shortcut for your home screen
