Wont that use the same amout of electricity as a 60w light bulb, but with the added annoyance of it not just screwing into the place the light bulb was?
The quality of the content on Netflix has gone down so much I hardly ever even watch it anymore. All this article has done is make me think about cancelling my subscription.
It feels like a lot of people don't even want to think about the argument of the person on the other side. Its almost like they are afraid of trying to understand.
I think its because it takes some talent and effort to reproduce an artists style. If someone just makes Stable Diffusion do it, there isn't much effort put in on their part so it seems like they are taking advantage.
I have been to multiple drag shows and they were quite explicit. I would say they were slightly less explicit than a burlesque show, The costumes and performances were somewhat akin to a strip show, but without the nudity. One thing that stands out to me was a trans woman in very small underwear who obviously hadn't had bottom surgery doing the sitting splits, there was definitely a wardrobe malfunction.
None of this really offended me, but I do wonder if the pushback from the right has to do with people seeing this type of drag show and not having anything else to compare it to.
New evidence strongly suggests that OceanGate’s submersible, which imploded and killed all passengers on its way to the Titanic wreck, was unfit for the journey. The CEO, Stockton Rush, bought discounted carbon fiber past its shelf life from Boeing, which experts say is a terrible choice for a deep-sea vessel. This likely...
They were trying to get the sub to be as light as possible so it could be operated from nearly any vessel. The goal was to have the sub and a launch sled that could be launched and recovered aboard a rented ship. This was all to save money; they didn't want to have to purchase and outfit a special purpose support vessel.
The design was definitely flawed from the start. The carbon fiber is not a good material to use for repeated stress cycling. Each time the carbon fiber compresses it causes tiny fractures in the resin. They basically made a one-time use sub as each time it was used the carbon fiber became weaker. There was no way to test how weak it had become because testing it would further weaken it.
I mean like even if someone is for example criminal or scumbag they are still human and hoping for someone to die or make jokes of someone's loss of life isn't right. Or does someone think it is justified? I think it's morally wrong.
I used to work for a retail chain many years ago and I do not think this is true for everywhere.
When we were asking for donations it was tracked and if our location didn't get enough donations our store manager would get talked to by his district manager. I don't know exactly what happened to the money once it was donated, but I don't think they would have been so adamant about getting the donations if they didn't make anything from it.
This was like 20 years ago though, maybe its different now.
If those people are still alive I cannot imagine the nightmare they are going through. Being in a completely dark coffin 12,000ft under water with essentially total strangers waiting for death by suffocation is probably the worst way I can think of to die. Its right there with that guy that got trapped upside down in a cave. I hope it just imploded and they all went quickly.
