So yeah... maybe the turtle slowly waking up that he was just a Laptog for reddit and thrown away as soon as they didnt need him anymore ( moderation is allways a volunteer thing and shouldnt be like a 2nd job ).
I had a feeling they'll put something like this, so I went in every now and then to see how infinity will react. I really loved the app, devs did an amazing job
I hope so, I want to use sync for the fediverse on my phone, but on desktop I prefer kbin's interface and having two accounts will be a bit cumbersome but too horrible I guess.
For a sub that’s supposed to promote Reddit alternatives, there sure is a lot of pessimism on there. I see so many people dismissing Lemmy and kbin already for being too inaccessible, the UI is clunky, it’s hard to pick up etc and saying these sites will never take off. But why? Of course a platform in its infancy will have...
I'm currently getting by with a mixture of Design Spark Mechanical, FreeCAD, and OpenSCAD for prototyping/editing files, I'd love to find a good alternative that isn't from a predatory company like Autodesk
And then have no activity in them. Not quite sure why this is happening, is it power hungry idiots thinking if I make fifty magazines, maybe one will be popular?...
I feel it is partly due to many smaller communities having no presence here (clearly, with no magazine existing already) and wanting to make the transition as easy as possible for others. I myself have just created /m/multicopter as I didn't see any sort of fpv drone or other rc aircraft magazine. I'm debating whether or not to backfill it with link posts from the corresponding subreddits to try and kickstart it, or to only post some of my own content.
I'm looking to play casually (in person) with some friends and we were wondering what the cheapest format to start buying for would be? And what might be some good pick ups (we have the starter decks but want some more variety) thanks
My and my friends always liked brewing our own decks so to encourage that and discourage net decking we've come up with our own casual budget format we call Bargain. The only special rules are your maindeck must be $30 or less on mtg goldfish and your leftover money plus an additional $5 can go toward a sideboard. We just check every couple of months whether a deck has gone way over budget and we haven't had the need to ban or restrict any cards yet.
I noticed kbin.social did not have any magazine relating to the overarching drone hobby yet so I decided rather than lose touch with the existing communities on other sites that one should be made here. Feel free to post anything related to the hobby including videos, guides, product releases, questions, and memes and help grow this community!
Hey all! What have you all been playing? I've been tinkering with my migration to Linux so I haven't played much, but I'm looking into starting Morrowind.

Kbin account support?
While I do have lemmy accounts, I'd definitely prefer not having to resub to all my subscriptions and just be able to sign in with my kbin account.

So far I've only bought stuff from https://www.drone-fpv-racer.com/ and https://www.rotorama.com/ but are there any other places to buy from?
What’s with the cynicism towards Lemmy on r/RedditAlternatives and Reddit in general?
