I just deleted my Reddit account and will delete my Twitter too as soon as I get my data export.
Unfortunately, I'll have to wait for Instagram, Facebook & WhatsApp until most people I know will move to a Fediverse alternative too.
Does anyone know of a decent free cloud helpdesk/ticketing system? Right now I'm setting up to use Spiceworks for the next little while (I work in a high school so I can only make major changes like building new ticketing systems when we're on break). Looked at Zoho and Freshdesk but features I need (like custom fields) are...
I would like to do a small-medium guide on something I did that I couldn’t find so many resources for, what do you think would be the best place to do this without so much hassle and preferably with free hosting?
It matters how big your guide will be. Just some Markdown? Github Gist. A few Markdown files? Gist/ Repository. A large-scale documentation? Use Github Pages.
Hope this helps
I feel you. Nowadays people just don't want to hear a no. Oneday I was out with some people I knew after work and everyone except me ordered a beer but I just didn't want one and ordered an ice tea. But then they offered me one and I had to say again that I don't feel like it on that day.
On an other day my brass band got invited to play on a neighborhood festival (I don't know if that word exists but its like a big meet with all the families in a neighborhood). And because I came with my motorcycle and in switzerland there's a rule that you can't drink until you drive 2 years (0.0‰) I declined all offers for a beer. But there was this dad I knew from my childhood who asked like every five minutes why I don't want a beer and I had to explain it every time.
Just accept a no. Don't ask a second time or just offer something. You order me a beer just that I can't decline? Not with me but hey, you have another for you.
I tried various distributions like Ubuntu, Arch, Mint, ... and came to Manjaro (based on Arch) and now using it everyday on laptop and PC. Doesn't matter if for work, programming or personal use. And the communitiy is great!
but there are plenty of other user who don't write what of them they are. probably because the more of you are, the higher is the possibility to say it😂
