Why YSK: because if you're seeing this, you're probably subscribed to it :) we need more posts & activity if you want to keep it alive and thriving! It's been dead in the last 2 days.
Well, I saw it, but not because I'm subscribed -- I'm seeing several posts from this community on the front page of Kbin now. Sounds like progress.
Since we don't yet have a specific community for custom phone ROMs, let's discuss them here. Are you running a custom ROM? Which one? On what hardware? How is it?
I think it's important to remember a lot of people participating in the blackout are still on a break from Reddit and aren't commenting on these kinds of posts.
Anyway, we did indeed "just find another app or website", so we're good.
On Arch Linux, I'm having screen flickering on my main monitor using Wayland with adaptive sync enabled on this new driver. Other monitor doesn't flicker even with adaptive sync enabled on it. Of course, Wayland and Nvidia aren't known to be a good combo, although the last version did work fine. Steam is also not launching anymore due to an out of sync release between the driver and lib32-nvidia-utils.
Disabling adaptive sync on the monitor itself stops the flickering, and enabling multilib-testing and updating lib32-nvidia-utils makes Steam work again.
YSK: This community is dying [META]
Upper note: This post is not about Lemmy. It's about this specific community :)...
What custom ROM is on your phone?
