It's obvious that Reddit as a company has no respect for its users and less than that for the mods. It's a thankless, difficult job that isn't even a paid position. I think a lot of us have probably quit real jobs for less bs than Reddit has pulled....

I am aware of issues you guys are having with the crashes. I’m not able to reproduce it, but I’m wondering if it has to do with the instance I’m using. If you guys experience crashes, please let me know the instance you are on as well as what caused it. Really appreciate all the feedback I’m getting....

I see so many people dismissing Lemmy and kbin already for being too inaccessible, the UI is clunky, it’s hard to pick up etc and saying these sites will never take off. But why? That’s what turned me off from Lemmy. I had no clue what I was doing to begin with, then I tried to register for an instance, and the sign up button just kept spinning forever. So I tried another instance. It wanted me to type out why I wanted to join and answer some questions. Like, what? I’m not jumping through hoops to use your service. Plus, as far as I’m aware, your username you register with on one instance doesn’t follow you into other instances. It makes zero sense to me.
Seriously, this. I tried for days to register on Lemmy. One day I was mid-registration and the button was just spinning, doing nothing, so I came over to kbin, registered and started using the site. Lemmy never stopped spinning. No thanks.

Not quite, but I also don’t really want to go back to reddit. I’m seeing some great alternatives on the rise, so I can sense I’ll be deleting the profile at some point. Just haven’t pulled that trigger yet.

If so, do you consistently report it and get the feeling that it gets dealt with? Of course there are instances dedicated solely to being human trash
