Look, sometimes we have an asset with a book value of $10 mil, which means we can brag about it on social media, just like my uncle used to do - great man, very smart and perfect genes from Levis Strauss. Ok, very creased from ironing but this was before my superior roulette steak company. Perhaps market value is, you know, what they are saying is, ok, approximately 2 bananas when the property tax appraiser comes around. Therefore, the numbers don't represent what the assets are worth. Technically he made a correct statement. Believe me, the best kind of correct. Just like McKinsey and Ivy League. That's what people are saying. Anyway, everyone can have a gaap in judgment. Sometimes our brain is an impaired asset. But I have a special excretory operation and need your support - please donate now and you will be rewarded with an honorary one-sheet ply of branded water closet paper.
The root of what’s going on here can feel obvious: blame inflation, which picked up in mid-2021 and throughout 2022. But that isn’t really the issue anymore, at least not at the current rate, because inflation is coming down. The actual problem here is prices....
This has become a pet peeve of mine and as a non-native English speaker I just don’t understand why so many people make that typo in the first place- what is it?

American; just got back from a trip around Northern EU and British Isles. Never understood Brexit. Trade is vital, as is tourism. When traveling, I love every place and every people, but as a practical matter changing from Euro to Pound just doesn't work out. Less funds flow into UK because of the friction on currency alone - your people on the ground, such as coach guides and restaurants, lose money because of this.
You caught the same damn media/social/political disease that America did, or maybe we caught it from you. Hey, let's convince ourselves that shooting oneself in the foot leads to a better economy by stimulating the prosthetics industry. It is probably too late for us but for the sake of Pete follow the money and wise up. Or to use a meme that is old but checks out sir: delete Facebook, lawyer up, and hit the gym.

The Wrath of Khan doesn't seem like a "best Star Trek film" to me -- why do so many people think that it is?
