Happily Never After {lol no I Need To Fix This Advice}

Hello, I am 20F and have been texting this guy (21) I met for about 2 years now. We actually live close to each other. It’s about 30 to 40 minutes but throughout the time when we will plan a date, either he or I would cancel for me, it was due to insecurities (We’ll get into that later). He has expressed to me many times...

dingus,

I’m a little confused. Are you looking for advice? It sounds like this guy was into you but you kept friend zoning him even though you wanted to date him?

dingus,

May I see it?

dingus,

I will absolutely never not hear Principal Skinner whenever I hear or read the words “Aurora borealis”.

dingus,

Aww look how happy he is. I’m glad scale enjoys his gift. :)

dingus,

Now I’m just imagining in every movie or TV show if we had to watch people travel in real time to wherever they were going lol. Sounds painful.

dingus,

I wonder how long this took to make!

dingus,

This is such a bizarre design. I wonder why they don’t just make a bit of a longer “leash” attaching the cap to the ring. Because then the cap wouldn’t detached but it also wouldn’t be annoyingly in the way like this.

Here in the US, I haven’t seen these bottles yet, but I wonder if we’ll be getting them at some point. :p

dingus,

Wtf did you pull this meme out of my own brain??

I have so many issues with this. I really do wish I could push myself harder. Everyone else is able to do stuff. I know I just need to work harder at things in life but I never seem to be able to.

dingus,

I cannot get this out of my head every time I hear or read anything about Aurora borealis lol

Such a classic that it has become deeply ingrained in my thought patterns

dingus,

Uhhhh, I saw them yesterday in southern hemisphere in Europe.

Wait what? Surely something here has a typo, right???

dingus, (edited )

I don’t think it necessarily indicates ADHD. I mean, obviously it will depend on the person and for some it might. But for me, having something scheduled to do later in the day will mean I can’t fully relax until it’s complete. If I get it out of the way in the morning, then I can relax.

It’s part of the reason when I was in school I could never really relax, even though I wasn’t necessarily doing things all the time. I have a job that I physically can’t take home so I can just chill at the end of the day.

dingus,

I’m also confused on the advice of using a “real” bathroom

dingus,

I haven’t used Jerboa in ages because of how buggy it was in the beginning, but that looks very pleasing to me as well. So many of the apps out there just look too “busy” for me. I am also coming from Reddit is Fun, so I like as simplistic looking an app as possible. Voyager fills that role for me and fixed the bugginess issues I had with Jerboa.

I’m sure Jerboa is much more stable now, but I just haven’t had a reason to leave Voyager yet.

dingus,

The double tails are because the house is also sentient and speaking in unison with the Kool Aid man

dingus,

It’s not totally off base though. Wait until you hear about reactive oxygen species and oxidative stress. Oxygen does cause damage to our bodies. Our bodies have protective measures against that and we need oxygen to live, but our utilization of it does cause damage.

dingus,

I don’t think it’s illegal, just legally risky for them to be overly candid about you in a negative way because you could sue them.

dingus,

Weirdly I feel like I self-gaslight all the time to the point where I’m not sure if certain things are real.

Some examples…

Am I really having pain in my foot or am I being a hypochondriac? How can I tell if it’s real or if I’m making it up?

Was my boss actually in the wrong in saying that to me or am I just a crazy person?

Are my feelings genuine or am I subconsciously just acting a certain way for attention?

dingus,

Yeah I’m a tad confused at why it’s weird to measure by time. If I’m trying to get somewhere deep in the city vs on highway traffic the whole time vs something in between the two, the same distance will give you radically different times to traverse it.

It’s also useful to give other people time estimates. Isn’t it more useful to tell your boss that you’ll be 15 minutes late versus the distance away in miles or kilometers? How about when you’re a guest arriving at someone’s house? Isn’t it more logical to tell them you’re 30 minutes from arrival as opposed to giving them the exact distance away in km or mi, especially when they might not know whether you’re arriving from a high traffic area or not?

There is a lot you can criticize the US for and it would be totally valid. This one is bizarre and unwarranted.

dingus,

Ah sorry, man. I guess not a specific jab at you, but it’s weird because I’ve heard people make fun of this a lot and it’s just a bit odd to me.

dingus,

eBay actually has decent buyer protection policies. You need to sell it somewhere without that like Facebook marketplace

Hey i just wanna know are raccoons evil in some kind of way ?

A lot of things i thought were cute and nice like dolphines, ducks, cats (i saw one cat eat anothers new born), dogs (multiple cases of eating dead owners due to a variety of reasons starting from trying to wake em up to other malicious reasons), hamsters etc turned out to be wrong . Raccoons are the only thing i believe in...
