I adore Disgaea. I played it on a hacked psp back in the day, and just fell in love with its style and charm. I got it on pc legitimately some years ago, and then got the ps4 hd version to play on the sofa. While the grind is not for everyone, it’s an amazing journey for those who enjoy tactical games (that don’t take themselves too seriously).
I haven’t started its sequels, but I want to finish this hd version first. Until then, they’ll be looking at me from the ps plus catalogue.
I have made an attempt at populating them, they’re not necessarily empty. There are reasons to scroll past entries other than content, i.e. the instance they’re on. Plenty of people ignore certain domains altogether.
I've made a few magazines on kbin to protect from being taken by worse people than myself... I've also added a note in the sidebar/info that I have no intention of remaining moderator, and anyone who wants to take over (preferably with roots in the community elsewhere) can message me.
My cooking doesn't look bad... But it will never live up to the food presentation I have experienced when visiting Japan. Everything just looks SO delicious.
I didn’t necessarily mean a direct comparison, but more the theming and the exploration / world building and storytelling. It’s far more rewarding than dodging boss attacks and whittling health down, like in fromsoft games.
Yes, but also no. I’ve also seen it compared to dragon age inquisition too. You’re the chosen one, but you suck.
There is no ‘git gud’ of reading boss animations, for example. The sword and sorcery theming does fit the dark souls theme, and exploration is rewarded. It’s on sale on Playstation at the moment, I got it for 5 euros.
I’m cautious, the remakes have been hit or miss. Zelda Link’s Awakening was well done but the frame rate was inexcusable. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl was a letdown… if anything we got the old one to emulate.
