This isn’t properly calculated though. They only count the actual laser energy inside the reacttvs output. They don’t account for the huge amount of energy thatch’s needed to run the lasers in the first place or the rest of the facility. It’s nowhere near putting out more energy than it consumes and it’s also a reactor for nuclear weapons testing so they don’t really try to produce energy anyway.

It’s a matter of perceived convenience and a low threshold I guess. In reality people learn how to write lyrics because they listen to songs. Nobody writes a song without listening to thousands of them and many human written songs are really similar to each other. Otherwise the music industry wouldn’t be littered with lawsuits. I don’t really see the difference.
Good point. However, the height difference between giraffes and Brachiosaurus is still quite significant. I am not well versed enough in the exact mechanics of this but maybe it won’t scale well. Additionally, the neck of Brachiosaurus was probably far more flexible than that of a giraffe due to the higher number of vertebrae so they may be able to lower their necks more easily which reduces the pressure to evolve powerful pumping mechanisms.
