I don't actually use TikTok or even the "sliding" function on youtube shorts, but I feel like my attention span has gotten much worse after they started getting popular. Even watching a 2 minute video feels dreadfully long, let alone a 10 or 20 minute video, so I end up watching a mostly short animation memes instead.
This makes sense, I read somewhere recently that there actually is no evidence that people’s attention span is getting shorter, it’s just crap people say.
Why did you get banned? Did you post them to /r/Noise ?
You can't just DoS their servers like that, but feel free to contribute noise to the appropriate sub.
I think the misunderstanding is coming from me going with the wikipedia & cloudflare definition of DoS attack, which includes intent. Image
And, in my opinion "the point is to screw with their bandwidth and their servers" sounds like you are intending to cause disruption (presumably by being part of a larger group of users doing the same thing), you might even call it a DDoS.

I don't get the 'ad' justification. Because, if they wanted to make up for the lost ad revenue, they just needed to charge around 100th of what they decided. Huffman stated they're aware of AI people training with reddit data, and I think it's clear that they're pricing the API to capitalize on AI training, everyone else be damned.
I was just prompted that a PWA was available for kbin. I now have it installed, really great to see this. IMO it is a great stopgap until native apps are available.

Anyone else notice that short videos are making their attention span worse?

Reddit CEO is more unhinged than I suspected: Huffman said he saw Musk’s handling of Twitter, which he purchased last year, as an example for Reddit to follow.

Does kbin have any equivalent to multireddits? If not, I think that should be added to the eventual TODO list.
