There is no short term solution so meanwhile we might as well accept them here. Where the population is slowly dying and where we need hands to do the dirty work that no Swiss born want to do.
Before I joined the Fediverse, it felt like the Internet was composed of only 4-5 social media sites and a bunch of corporate news articles, with only a couple of old remnant sites that looked out of place like a historic church in a business district. All of a sudden, though, it feels like people are creating lots of new sites....

I imagine that with the influx of new users, instances paid by volunteers will be stretched. Some I imagine are creating instances, to spread out the load, but some of us cannot / don't want to create and manage instances. For these efforts to be successful I imagine that monetary support would be helpful....
