Part of it was understandable: Trump sucks and any alternative was preferable, and reddit as a whole skews young and Democrat. So who cares, right? But that level of astroturfing would have rightly been called out were the politics swapped. And it goes way beyond politics. I'm sure Marvel and Disney are sending out feelers to control discussion in reddit alternatives.
It'll happen here, too.
