@whknott@Techmeme - Completely agree! And add in all that is happening in Fortnite with the millions of people there. "Immersive experiences" are already here... and don't necessarily require VR goggles!
I mean... VR/AR may ultimately add to the experience, but the foundations for "metaverse" are already out there now - but many people don't realize that.
(In full disclosure, I was also a Second Life user for a good while, too, and I realize that space is still around and active, too.)
