I like how ice cream trucks around here play Joplin’s "The Entertainer.” Not because I like the song (though I do), or because it reminds me of one of my favorite movies (though it does), but because the song’s close association with The Sting makes it feel like driver is staging an elaborate con.
@unrealfred related interesting factoid... garbage trucks in Taiwan play Für Elise so people know it's time to bring their trash out. A way to alert people is needed because the trash pick-up there is almost daily.
