dfloyd888, QNAP NAS models, if one buys an Intel based one (one that can run amd64), and one that has a HDMI out, can easily have a new OS installed, something like TrueNAS SCALE if there is enough RAM, or just plain old Linux with ZFS and Samba for a small attack surface, although it doesn't have a pretty web UI.
