I continue to be stunned by the bullshit that is Apple Music. I’m on a plane, I want to listen to some music. The only track I can actually play is one I played to a friend an hour before I got on the flight, because nothing else is “authorised”. I will add, this is “my” music that I bought off iTunes.
(I know technically I don’t own it, I license it, Apple sucks, blah blah, please fuck off with your Mastodon neckbeardism that’s not the point.)
What I want to know is how do I actually get this to work? Is it supposed to be possible to listen to music while in flight mode? What goat do I have to sacrifice? I haven’t been able to play an arbitrary song from my own library (including albums I’ve ripped off CD and synced through iTunes Match) for about a decade now. If nobody else can either why aren’t there mobs in Cupertino with torches and pitchforks?
