Talking about things like Doctor Who on the Fedi is really nice. The entire performative absurdity of Twitter is totally absent. As if only grown-ups are here (or grown-ups who can remain grown-up when talking about their fandom).
@GreyAreaUK I mean the drama hissy fits that some people throw on Twitter and then you have camps and you have to say to which you belong etc. This is child's play and I'm happy that I haven't encountered that on the Fedi.
@jynersolives I ditched my 15yo Twitter account when it became obvious that Musk was a white-power fascist. I wasn’t happy about it, but needs must. Masto (and Bluesky to some extent) are far better.
