It is not lost on me that the Allies are celebrating WWII DDay which led to the liberation of those under the heel of a cruel regime that perpetuated genocide. yet today we see too similar circumstances around the world and are doing nothing. I wonder what our recent ancestors would think? Especially those that fought that regime , saw the unspeakable, and those who didn't come back. Deep mid-week thoughts. ☹️😣

"We are airing a package tomorrow that profiles three men who died on D-Day. One of those men is Julius Wolfe who I know have some photos of in your collection. I’m wondering if we could get permission to use those with courtesy?"

So my Etsy package arrived. I wanted physical tix for DDay (Rosemont + online concerts) and Busan (online) After much searching I found someone on Etsy. Not only did they make some awesome tix the also had THE WHALE keychain!! And look at those freebies on the left!!! Two photo cards and a mini pack of stuff. 😍🥰 it's arrival made a rather shitty day so much better!

@tikistitch Good analogy. Being leader is not always an enviable position. Just ask me. While not in the same context, just the same, it's not always what it's cracked up to be. Sure, you get the glory, but you also get shit on too. Everything you say or do is put under a microscope and so much is expected from you, no matter the time.

I'd say the caladiums filled in nicely! I actually had to move some plants bc they were getting too much shade🤦🏻‍♀️

The other side of the garden. The peace lilies are blooming like mad and the neighboring units/building can barely be seen. Thankfully imma genius at privacy planting!
The main containers in all their glory. Yes these are all containers. The view to the street and easement between buildings can't be seen. No peepers can peep here.

The project I was dreading.

While I love the hostas and hops, what was once plastic topped with pea gravel was becoming weed and grass infested. A real mess. So finally got off my arse, & dug up all the unwanted green stuff! I'm getting there but taking a long break. It's getting too warm. Later this evening or tomorrow morning... Will finish laying plastic in this section, and topping with brown mulch. 🌞😎👍🌿

What do you do with friends who refuse to put their phones down? Arghh! And these are friends who even read my blog about phone etiquette!

Went on a weekend trip with them and right now I could smack them both. They feel obligated to answer any call that comes in. For instance we are having a conversation in the car. The woman has to answer her phone and proceeds to take a 20 minute call, which impedes my ability to continue my convo with the 2 others. I'm so disgusted! 😡
