A good news medical toot, for once.

Follow-up lab test results came back and… I don’t have diabetes.

I’m not even pre-diabetic.

The earlier test results were a blip.

I can breathe easy about that one.

I've used for my day-to-day work for a good 35yrs. I've had a couple of brief clusters of years where I had to use a Windows at work (but still had MacOS at home).

I've installed on many old machines to extend their lives a bit, sorting through distros, finding one that would work on limited resources with good results. Fun stuff.

But I'm curious to ask a QUESTION about new computer purchases…

The topic of first concerts we saw came up today and I was floored to realize that today is the thirtieth anniversary of my seeing Pink Floyd in concert at the Big O (Olympic stadium) in Montreal.

What a band to see live. And really set expectations way too high for other concerts.

Taking great delight in replacing Windoze 11 on my laptop with Kubuntu. I have half a dozen other computers running a mix of Linux and Windows 10. I will see how Davinci Resolve runs under Kubuntu.

Bloody rage-a-holics mad at the world and totally nuts.

My brain just puts the n in whenever I read "a historic" I'm not even sure which way I say it. Obviously the n is not necessary as we pronounce the h here, so I think I, at least sometimes, say "a historic" but my brain 100% thinks it should be written "an historic" and just subs it right in so I read it as "an historic" regardless of how it's written.

@mariellequinton I write it the same as I hay it (with an 'h'). I find it almost jarring sometimes when reading when I come across "an historic" ... but only sometimes. Very strange

Merlin might be my favourite app ever. Just sitting outside, learning the songs of all the birds visiting us. It's the little things!

Also a bee is enjoying the little wood raft (.. it's just a branch) I added into the pie dish that I fill with water lol!

#Yay - the first rhubarb harvest of the year. It's so tasty.

We regretted not maximizing our rhubarb desserts last year, so will try to harvest the bejezus out of the plant this year.

I'm generally quite excited in general about the PWHL but today I saw a headline about how Boston is the first team to qualify for the Walter Cup and I wondered what that was named for...

... only to found out that it's named for Mark Walter, the male founder of the league and owner of all the teams. Gross, man.

They don't even have names for the teams yet, but the cup? Yup, named after some fucking billionaire.

I am also nearly at my wit's end with iOS autocorrect correcting fucking to ducking. Where does Apple even get off with this fucking puritanical bullshit, honestly.

Even setting up the autotext to correct fucking to fucking it still corrects it to ducking and I hate it so FUCKING much.

On the revert reds, TWICE this week I had revert reds happen to me (once I rolled off the dots too soon and the other I wasn't in the right place and forgot I wouldn't get my signal that way) and BOTH TIMES the motorists at the cross streets waved me to go through the intersection anyway. It was very nice.

I think that the first time (Kenilworth/Holland) the guy saw me swear up a storm when I saw it revert red lol
