This is The Coffer Illusion.

Our brains are geared toward identifying objects & here, “pixels” are grouped to form edges & contours, shapes, & objects. The image is inherently ambiguous so there is no “right” grouping.

Rectangles dominate first for most people - including me, but keep staring & the image may flip to circles.

This is an honest question with only sincere interest behind it, but as a straight, white woman I understand my motives may be suspect, especially if you don’t already know me. So here goes…

“LGBTQ2S+” as a descriptive word to include lots of different people is unwieldy (sorry, English major here). Is it bad form to simply say “queer community” now? My favorite cousin came out in the 80s, so he’s an older gay man and may be out of touch. That’s the word he uses. Is it no longer acceptable?

People shouldn't be calling for Alito's or Thomas' recusal(s). We should be calling - insisting - that they resign.

They are the epitome of unethical, biased and of poor moral character. They are both politically compromised.

The fact that "Chief" Justice Roberts is doing nothing is barely more reassuring. The opinions coming from the court are garbage and the "rule of law" has been tossed. Why should anyone adhere to any decision coming from them?
