@ucodery so far every new release of python 3 was pretty much python 4 in terms of backwards compatibility, they just forgot how semantic versioning works

for most of my life when i did play games i'd play shooters simply because it was something that i found that distracted me from overwhelming chronic pain, and i didn't think about it much if at all

so now that i've recently realized that you can, and should, outsmart and outplan the enemy, the experience completely changed for me

Can we please stop making custom dropdown menus that aren't keyboard searchable? It takes eons having to manually scroll through three separate lists of date/month/year instead of just typing out the numbers on my keyboard and pressing "Tab" to switch between the three menus.

Iโ€™m loving all the retro gaming and emulation stuff thatโ€™s happening in a big way now (yeah I know itโ€™s not new).

Questions:

  • is there any official way to buy ROMs? Will the game owners ever catch on to this? In happy to pay!
  • are downloaded ROMs safe? Can they do anything bad?

@ross This is an excellent question. I suppose you could target a bug in a particular emulator on a particular platform and execute arbitrary payloads this way, if the emulator has a security hole.
