I'm following this tutorial by @Gargron, does anybody know if this is still up to date? I can't get Mastodon to find my test-actor in search. The inbox exists and can be posted to, the actor verifyer tools tell me it that it should be valid. I can see in my logs, that the mastodon instance I am searching for is accessing my actor endpoint, but in search, it tells me nothing can be found

Developing an application that's kind of an addition to Mastodon but I run no mastodon instance so it's a bit harder to test things. On the other hand: I don't want to run a mastodon instance even for testing.

We're just gonna be looking for bugs live, aren't we?

@tante Not sure if it's interesting to you, but the developers of the Java client "Bigbone" created a docker-compose file and use it for automated integration tests with Testcontainers, which exists for a lot of languages.

@bastianallgeier Ich hatte bei meinen früheren Laufschuhen irgendwann das Gefühl, dass sie ab einem gewissen Alter auf die Gelenke geschlagen haben, dann wurden sie zu Gassischuhen degradiert. Da sind die Altras noch ganz gut, haben aber auch extrem viel Dämpfung

Szenario: läuft in

in einer Spring Boot App. DOCKER_HOST: tcp://127.0.0.1:2375

Docker aus Powershell heraus funktioniert alles, ich kann damit auf den Service in der WSL zugreifen

Testcontainers sagt: 127.0.0.1:2375, Connection Refused.

Hilfe? Ideen?

@DJGummikuh Gerade habe ich IPV6 shaningans im Verdacht. Die direkte IP der WSL Kiste funktioniert leider weder im Docker CLI Client, noch aus Testcontainers heraus. Über localhost funktioniert immerhin der CLI Client.

@DJGummikuh Da hast du Recht, ich bin mittlerweile beim Ausprobieren durcheinandergekommen. jetzt hatte ich "localhost" drinstehen, aber vorher war es direkt ipv4.

Vielleicht mache ich doch lieber was mit Holz ab jetzt.

@DJGummikuh Der neue Tagesvater für unseren kleinen hat 27 Jahre als IT-Security Spezialist gearbeitet und jetzt keinen Bock mehr, er betreut dann lieber Kinder. Konnte das schon fühlen. Dafür ist das die erste Eltern-Chatgruppe die wir auf Signal haben 😀
