Good morning and happy Monday

It's a new week, so let's all discuss what we did over the weekend and what the week ahead has in store for us.

For me, it's the usual work stuff today. I didn't do much of anything over the weekend except go to dinner with my cousins fiance as he stopped by for a bit. Always good to see him as he's super fun to be around.

Played a bit of Ghost of Tsushima and Diablo IV, and was lazy all weekend.

@cliffwade I played some Ghost of Tsushima as well. Finished some anime and watched Dark Matter with wifey. Holiday here so planning to go outside if the weather holds up.

Min found an โ€œeasyโ€ breakfast burrito recipie on Instagram and I tried it. There are certainly less steps than a traditional breakfast burrito and aside from the flipping it wasnโ€™t hard to make. (Hear me yelp at the 1:25 mark ๐Ÿ˜‚) I prefer the traditional method of scrambling the eggs separately and building the burrito from scratch. Doing it all in the pan means the eggs get cooked, overcooked really. They canโ€™t be loose at all and the texture isnโ€™t as nice (IMHO). Still fun to try!

Today is just a day of video games, resting and relaxing.

Not much else is planned for the day today so it'll be nice to just be a bit lazy so to speak and get ready for Monday.

Look, I can understand a dozen partners, one for analytics, one for telemetry, a few for logins, a handful of privacy-respecting ad networks. But I challenge anyone building such a site to convince me separately about the need to involve 1556 other companies.

    @chris Oh that's comfortable, we had 31C recently. We always get like a week in May with hot temperatures then it goes back to cold for a bit and then blazing until September!

    @chris The climate change is happening here too. I've noticed it year over year the changes. What I was used to as a kid and young adult, is not what is happening now.

    It's work stuff today as usual which isn't too busy as things have finally calmed down since our major release of Nova 8 a couple of weeks ago.

    I started Ghost of Tsushima this morning, so more of that later as well as Fortnite with friends. Nothing much for the weekend yet.

    https://phanpy.social is a pretty incredible Mastodon client. Entirely web based, looks great on mobile and desktop, you can configure your shortcuts that appear above or below the river of news.

    Some screenshots from my own account: good notifications page, different kinds of toots get a different status, plus Boosts are shown in their own carousel.

    I've heard one developer made all this, it's pretty incredible.

    Boosts are rolled up into a carousel of toots you can view with sideways scrolling
    Threads are shown grouped together and single posts from threads are indicated as such.

    @alabut @mathowie @ivory Ivory was my main daily app too but having Phanpy on all my devices works better for me. All these features like Catch Up, make my daily use here better. Ivory locks me to only Apple devices which makes it hard to stay in sync on other devices.

    I stopped using Ivory and won't renew my subscription when it ends.

    It's work as usual here with a meeting at 12pm and then not much else work wise after that.

    I'll be starting Ghost of Tsushima on PC today since it releases at 11am EST. Super excited to play this as I never played it on console.
