I've submitted my paid work leave time needed request. I seriously need it approved. To take place 2 weeks after my last duties to client. I need this time off or else I'm gonna seriously lose my shit, at work. I don't want that. I need my request for additional time off, to be honoured.

I'm trying to just survive ATM. This has been my most difficult times in years. I'm struggling just to keep my head above waters this week & glad it is over soon. I have one phonecall left & it's unpleasant. I will survive it. I feel like fucking shit.

I'm dealing with so much PTSD flashbacks & triggers this week, I'm scared to fuck up at work because of them. This week, I'm remembering 2 family deaths from violence from government & one significant death of my Dad, after government covid failures & traumatized by antimasker cops on night Dad died.

This has been such a fucking difficult week for me. I'm crying & screaming, all through it.

Waiting on one phonecall update that will determine my work hours for rest of today & into tomorrow. It's my second MAiD client. I'm waiting to hear back from her family members on her list.

I just got the call. Family wants to spend entire weekend together & wants me to obtain a day pass to take her out to her home garden & fave beach, one last time. My death doula work goes into effect tomorrow morning at 6am.
Have to work out logistics of transport because she is bedridden & unable to walk or stand up by herself now.

The work I do for some people, on their deathbeds, is heartbreaking/heartwrenching.

It's so fucking important for people, to retain their dignity, while dying.

This will be my 2nd MAiD at work, this year. Doing death doula work is very difficult. It is also the most beautiful & most meaningful work I have done in my entire life. There's something quite indescribable about helping people to pass on, in their own dignified ways & in the same people, dying, trusting you to care for them in best ways possible - when they're not your family but trusting you, like family.

It is gifting you, power over their lives.
It is a huge responsibility.

Contained invasives with natives & cultivated pollinator plants. I don't take out all invasives. I do controlled areas for some established ones that are beneficial for my gardens.

If invasives are established, their flowers attract more pollinators & their roots(or other plant parts) aren't choking out & killing my native plants - I won't remove them. I will remove if invasives are choking out & stopping native or my cultivated plants from growing more. I will contain & coexist with them - if they aren't disturbing local ecosystems much.
