When I search the web for X I am knowingly hoping to find distinct websites that contain or refer to X.

But I think google thinks or maybe knows, most people searching the web for X want an "answer".

Obviously older (length of usage over time; yeah age) users at least partially understood the former was what you got.

I've seen nothing about this discussed, but I'm hardly a model of normality.

@mathiasx Sadly I think housework & yard work will take over this weekend and I'm booked solid for the first three weekends in June, but I will keep it in mind! I'm hoping June 30th is the next Scrappy ride and that I can make that one.

Today I learned that Jet Li had to stop martial arts due to degenerative disc disease. I'm grateful to him for his openness about this.

I was once extremely active. I used to cycle around 120-180 miles a week, now, somedays I can barely move the pain is so bad. I'm a talented potter and sculptor too but I had to step back from that as well.

Knowing that others have experienced this helps me feel validated in what I've been through.

My latest batch of handmade paper is done. There's one sheet on the left that has not been pressed, and a stack on the right that has been pressed and has a very smooth surface. (Ready for more relief prints!)

She has a real good example of how algorithms on platforms like Instagram not only try to make you addicted but also divide us even more

I real LOVE the fact Mastodon and most of the Fediverse software avoids this all together

@stux I'm all for the algorithm that shows me more photos of cats after I search for images of cats. I'm training the algorithm to fulfill my needs!
