/JK, I got a thousand tomatoes quietly growing in my barrels, the smallest one barely have ONE set of true leaves, and I'm already making plans to lay some foliar spray of kelp on them. There's a whole hillside of arugula and another one of miner's lettuce.

This is bullshit, because:

  1. You need a TFR (total fertility rate) of 2.1 to maintain stable population (no growth, no shrinkage).

  2. UK's TFR is 1.75, so shrinking ~15% per generation.

  3. Which means, not enough workers to support the retirees.

  4. Net-positive immigration is the only thing propping our economy up.

5.The UK NEEDS immigrants, or we're fucked.

@AlterNewt @edwilk @SRDas I should never have started watching this series. Every single person in it is thoroughly unlikable on some level. And yet, I'm just tapped in, hooked on watching the most revolting murders and beatings and degradations humans can inflict on each other. And then I watched Robert Bresson's "A Man Escaped," which I'd watched years before, and it was beautiful, but too much of a shock to step from modern America into WW II France.

Natural born U.S. citizen Enrique Tarrio is Afro-Cuban. He thinks it’s cute to lead a gang of racist bigots, “Proud Boys,” who wouldn’t hesitate to make “strange fruit” of him for entertainment purposes.

The hate he bears for himself easily outweighs the utter contempt the “Boys” have for him. That’s evidenced by his flashing the “White power”/“Wp” hand gesture. He also stole a BLM flag from a church and lit it ablaze. Who would’ve imagined he could further debase himself?

@BPStuart He's serving a long prison sentence, and when he gets out, not ONE of his white "friends" who stood beside him making cutesy hand gestures will even remember him. If there's any justice, some WP dude will kill him in prison and get a life sentence.
