    but i don’t think it’s so simple. i see trust as becoming the commodity that’s in high demand and dwindling supply.

    Google might turn up 1000 pages with the correct, pertinent information — exactly what you need — but knowing it’s correct will very soon become impossibly difficult.

    how do we assign a metric of trustworthiness that can’t be gamed with AI generated bots leaving positive comments, AI generated five-star ratings, and AI generated lists of “the 10 best listicles to click on”

    @isaiah I find more and more that Google can’t even do it’s fundamental job of returning pages with pertinent information to me.

    Often it seems to make assumptions about what I really mean, changes the search accordingly, and returns worse results.

    Extremely infuriating is when it randomly decides to return websites that don’t include one of the key words in my search because it “decided” it can’t be that important. Even if I try the old tricks of putting it in quotes or adding a + in front.

    I know PyTorch decently well. I used to know TensorFlow much better than I do now. I’m currently using ChatGPT to convert some PyTorch code to TensorFlow. It’s not perfect, but it’s good enough to get me started.
