As I've gotten older as a player, I have found myself dropping some eras of gaming that I used to be nostalgic for. One of them is the 8-bit era, the NES days. I have played some of the best that system had to offer and I will never say that system didn't have any good games....

I’ve been playing through all the numbered games and its been great. I could write an essay or two on any of them. In general I’m only including base games and no expansions or DLC so it wouldn’t be a huge undertaking to beat 11, but I’m trying to see if it’s worth it from others who have done the marathon....

The game now requires an always-online connection, even if you play offline. Just tried it myself by setting Steam to offline mode and you can never ‘Ready Up’ into a map. This was not the case before the Epic Games Store integration they did awhile ago....

The best controller I arguably thing is the 360 controller. It just feels right to use in fighting games and fps. I like xboxs layout with the analog sticks....

I never completed Arkham Knight and only played the first two games which I really liked. But for some reason I can’t get into Arkham Knight. I find myself overwhelmed by the controls that seem to do something different all the time....

Now this one might be a little heated, but an example of this happening is the game Stellar Blade, whilst it is still a good game, there was also a sex appeal to it which they cut out the jiggle physics and sultryness out of the game before release....

I bought this game 3 days ago and I’m totally hooked. It’s still in early access alpha, though....

I just learned that Xbox Live Arcade was a service that first started on the original Xbox, not Xbox 360. You had to order a disc online that would let you access the XBLA store. Here’s the wikipedia page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_Live_Arcade...

I have an urge to buy some of them on steam before they get delisted but don’t want to give any money to wb in the process. The way that apparently devs could just leave or sell/give away the game on other platforms made me think maybe wb doesn’t get a cut of every sale. Does anyone know that for certain?
