Ran with the Collie (12k, concrete road, some track) and then returned to take my mums elderly terrier for her 2k walk. Clearly the pair of them have had a disagreement overnight. They still are not talking after breakfast.
@Delphi The Collie does moonlight a couple of days a week on an ad hoc basis at the farm he came from (just down the road) and my partner, although not running at the moment, is extremely fit and keen. So he gets a decent amount of exercise - rarely enough though.
@Wen Many of us in Fire&Rescue withdrew our political levy in favour of the Labour Party many, many years ago. The people, big business, who used to fund the Blue Tories, now fund the Red Tories.
Labour has said little on child poverty, although the shadow health secretary, Wes Streeting, has pledged a “strategy for not just reducing child poverty but ending child poverty”.
We always need somewhere other than keep her while grass is cut. And not having very much time on our hands, we have bought an almost assembled tortoise run.
I am relying on the Collie to interpret the instructions - my partner is of no use…. Meanwhile he is convinced he can work his stick into the construction.
It is actually a right to access responsibly. But what the hell, it will always be used as a stick to beat Scotland by most of the MSM.
I am however very very amused. This must be the first vaguely positive article the Guardian has published about Scotland. Have they got the right country? Or was their ;Scottish Correspondent' on hols?
That is not what his leader believes, and it might help his cause if he was not supported by a truly corrupt company. Labour AND the Guardian wake up. Amazing statement ‘Since 2019, UK ministers have disregarded constitutional norms by legislating in areas devolved to the Senedd.’ - they have never said the same thing about #Scotland.
After the Mike Lynch debacle when the jury decided that the US judicial system should not be used to cover the arses of incompetent HP execs we have this…
I suspect that HP is a sell for any investor paying attention.
@Thebratdragon Well for us, a reliable black and white printer suffices for most printing and when high quality colour is needed the Epson copier/scanner/printer is great - if a wee bit slower.
That's what you get by voting tories in. We have done a fair amount in mitigation in Scotland, but Westminster and the England dominance of the ‘voluntary’ union continues to hold us back. The removal and squandering of Scottish/UK resources for ideological reasons did not help either.
'However, figures published this week show injuries on the roads fell by a third in the final quarter of last year compared to the same period a year earlier. After a review, the Welsh government agreed to more 30mph exemptions but insisted that most roads should remain at 20mph.’
The hysteria about 20mph was just that - rabble rousing based on no attention to the details. That included Times reporting.
I should add that for 5 months of the year we live in the Scottish Borders (migrate north during the winter for reasons). We have had 20mph limits on most roads in towns and village for some years - actually a Conservative policy, supported by most - and it has made a noticeable difference to traffic and pedestrians during that time.
