@itaakesama Fatui being good people is something I doubt heavily, considering we already have Dottore experimenting on children, Crucabena literally overseeing an orphanage that produces either experiment subjects or soldiers and spies, and Pulcinella preying on the vulnerable of Snezhnaya.
However, I believe that the Fatui as an organization is working towards a cause that will ultimately be for the good of Teyvat. They just resort to questionable means, as is heavily hinted by the game.
@itaakesama I also have a theory that perhaps the Tsaritsa actually intended to recruit these morally deranged people into the Harbingers precisely because she knew people who have a strong sense of morality would cower at the first sight of casualties in war, and considering that they are about to challenge the Heavenly Principles, casualties will be the norm.
@nextdoormat would be great if they also added a sorting feature in there since they already have the feature elsewhere. Or even just custom sorting would be nice.
After about a solid two weeks of chipping away at it, I finally finished the #Aranyaka quest line in #GenshinImpact. Can't decide whether it was genius or folly...
It was definitely unusual to have a quest line that was so lengthy and immersive, and some parts of it were wonderful.
But the confusing names, the endless dialogue and the occasional feeling of being completely lost sometimes annoyed...
I know there's a theory that the missing 10th Harbinger is Diluc's father Crepus. But I think it was Crucabena. When Arlecchino killed her, the Tsaritsa would have given her the 10th seat. But upon finding out about her Khaenri'ahn curse, she instead gave her the 4th seat.
Now the question changes to "who was in the 4th seat before The Knave?" And to that, I have no answer lol #GenshinImpact
@nextdoormat unfortunately it's not enough pyro app, that's actually specifically why she's good with Hu Tao, you'd be better off using fischl and Thoma to supplement your hydro+dendro characters (for aura consumption rate reasons frankly it's over my head)

@itaakesama@root several theorycrafters theorize that the rituals in Perinheri did in fact attempt to create descenders after a long time waiting for an actual one. So if that's true, perhaps Arlecchino is a "failed" descender in that the ritual intended for her to become a descender, only that it cursed her instead.
@itaakesama@root i don't know if there is anything to counter this headcanon of mine, but I believe Khaenriah, or at least remnants of it, still exists somewhere in Teyvat, and the events in Perinheri are set in the not-so-distant past underground, both literally and figuratively.
I don't plan to pull Lyney because charged shots are not my jam, but I gotta say he's got the best ultimate in the game hands down :meowbouncing: #GenshinImpact

Alhaitham, Focalors, Arlecchino… all these characters who are so well-written and obviously so smart that you see them be smart…
Kokomi only got empty praises from the Watatsumi people and being a book nerd. Really, all she is is a Millenial who lists The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck as her favorite book. #GenshinImpact
And the worst thing is that there is a very simple fix to her character: a single conversation where Kokomi states that she actually didn't want to be the leader of the island and the resistance but that she was forced because of her bloodline. That's it. She doesn't have to be smart anymore. She can win the civil war by sheer luck (which is what happened btw). All the people who praise her for being master strategist are now delusional fans of the Sangonomiya bloodline. #GenshinImpact
Really pleased at how Arlecchino's story quest turned out. I still rank Raiden Shogun Story Quest Act II as the standard for doing story quests, but Arlecchino's first act is gonna be one of my all-time favorites. #GenshinImpact
I just wish they released that animated short AFTER the story quest released. A major chunk of the story is just a retelling of what we already saw in the animation short. It would have worked better if we were told about the story and then see how it actually played out as an additional treat. #GenshinImpact
However, it doesn't change the fact that the quest as it is, independent of other media, is a high-ranking one. It introduced Arlecchino really well, and even portrayed just how much of an intimidating figure she is. More importantly, we are shown her other side without breaking apart, almost betraying, all character development she had so far. Everything she did made sense to who we already know her to be.
